Japanese linear guides and bearings — now with a branch in Poland

NIPPON BEARING has designed and manufactured linear motion components since 1960, when the first SLIDE BUSH was developed. Since 2025 we have operated from a branch in Katowice — closer to design offices and purchasing departments across Central and Eastern Europe, so that we are closer to our customers.

A Japanese manufacturer

NIPPON BEARING Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer of linear motion components, headquartered in Ojiya. Its network of plants spans the whole of Japan. We design, manufacture and inspect in-house — from purchasing the raw steel to the finished product. Outside Japan we operate through subsidiaries in the United States (since 1987), Europe (since 2002), China (2012) and Malaysia (2015).

Selection starts with your enquiry

The right selection starts with understanding your linear motion needs.

Your enquiry goes to our engineer — we establish the loads to be carried, working length, acceleration, speed, number of cycles and other operating conditions. We then propose a solution. If a standard version does not fit, we check whether a special version is possible.

Our products

Our range covers a wide variety of products — from a single linear ball bushing to complete driven linear axes. They have one thing in common: precise, repeatable motion in the machine.

NB SLIDE BUSH

Linear ball bushings

The basic linear motion mechanism, using balls rolling in a cage along a round shaft. Thanks to its simple design it delivers linear motion with low friction, which is why it is used in many fields — including conveyor systems, food processing machinery and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

NB TOPBALL®

Self-aligning high-load ball bushings

TOPBALL is a series of self-aligning, high-load ball bushings with a number of unique features that make it an excellent solution across a wide range of applications. TOPBALL bushings are widely used in industrial automation equipment and machinery, optical and measuring equipment, and other applications that call for precision, low weight and an attractive price.

NB SLIDE WAY

Crossed roller guides

Crossed roller guides are an assembly of two parallel non-recirculating linear bearings fitted with precision rollers. They are used mainly in optical and measuring instruments that demand high precision.

NB GONIO WAY

Guides for arc motion (goniometric)

A precision crossed roller guide for motion along an arc. It is a bearing that allows motion along a curved path, using precision low-friction rollers that do not recirculate. It is used in precision optical and measuring equipment where the tilt needs to be changed, or an exact tilt angle set, without shifting the centre of rotation.

NB BALL SPLINE

Ball splines

Ball Spline transmits torque and linear motion at the same time. No other product in our entire range offers this capability.

NB ACTUATOR

Linear modules

Linear modules combine the functions of a linear rolling guide and a precision ball screw in a single unit. Their compact dimensions and outstanding accuracy make the single-axis BG series modules an ideal solution in many applications, including positioning and measuring systems and equipment for the automotive, semiconductor and medical industries.

NB POSITIONING TABLE

Positioning tables

NB positioning tables are precision, general-purpose units with a stepper motor drive for fast and precise positioning. Linear guides provide the guidance and precision ball screws transmit the drive, giving stable accuracy across the full speed range, from low to high. Besides the standard versions, we also offer special versions adapted to space constraints, equipment requirements and the specifics of a wide range of applications, including mechatronics.

NB SHAFT

Guide shafts

Round-section guide shafts designed to work with linear ball bushings. Advanced machining and hardening technologies allow NB to supply products of the highest quality. Surface-hardened and ground, the shafts form the raceway for the linear ball bushing.

NB solutions across industries

Automation and robotics

Feeder axes, manipulators, assembly stations. Wherever cycle repeatability and the number of cycles per minute are what decide.

Medical devices

Diagnostic and laboratory equipment. Quiet running, smooth motion over short travels, stainless steel versions.

Optics

Measuring tables, calibration systems and microscopy — wherever micrometre motion and a stable set position are required.

Metalworking

CNC machine axes and auxiliary equipment. High load rating, rigidity and resistance to contamination in the working environment.
